Congrats to 'nova. :)

And, while I don't have a dog in this fight, 77 to 74 on a buzzer-beater doesn't seem like a 'destroy', IMO.

Good game, just wish it was the Ducks winning....would have helped out my bracket immensely.

Never heard of a buzzer-beater referred to as 'destroyed' but, either way, it was a good game.

Great game, two very good teams. Best finish I can remember since '83 NC State win. Poor Roy Williams will get some more heat. Tar Hole fans pour it on him for every big loss, forgetting his two championships he's given them.

Great game. 2 10 point leads lost for each team. A crazy game tier made by the Heels followed by a soul crushing 3 by the Cats. My wife came in with about a minute left. "What are you watching?" " An amazing NCAA Championship Game" "NC sinks that tying shot.
My Wife: "That was pretty mental, the kid looked so off balance"
Me: "Yup, it's do or die right now"
After the time out and the winning shot
My Wife: "Holy Crap that was amazing!"
Me: "Been so all night, why I have been watching"

As a Tarheel fan let me say we're not all like the ones you guys are slamming. Like any other group the rowdy ones make the noise and get all of the attention. I don't fault Coach Roy at all for his team falling short last night. They just ended up in a really tight game that could have been won by either team and last night was Villanova's night. That's the way the ball bounces, or so they say. It was a fun game to watch, a perfect end to a truly exciting tournament with more parity than ever before.

Now I'm just waiting for the NCAA hammer to fall on the Heels. The academic fraud issues are alarming and disappointing, and I wouldn't be surprised if the entire athletic department gets socked by the NCAA. The football team has been screwing around for years now, and I think they're going to get nailed. From what I hear the women's basketball team is in for it too, which is why most of the players walked away from the program a year ago. It would be nice if men's basketball made it through this without some kind of probation but they probably deserve to get nailed too. We should know soon what will happen.

Wish I could've watched it, but I don't have cable and I refuse to go to a bar to watch a game of which I'm indifferent to the outcome.

Had it been on CBS I definitely would've watched it. Why the college football and basketball championship games are no longer on major networks is not beyond me. It all boils down to money...
