I'm interested in a modern steel frame and have narrowed it down to a DeSalvo or a Stoemper. Since these are both small custom builders there is not much available in the way of reviews or road tests. They are both under $2k (which is where I must end-up) and they both seem to produce good work. Does anyone have any experience with frames built by either? How do they ride, what did you like, what would you do differently?

Both builders should be able to build up what I'm looking for; a stiff and light (S3, Spirit, Life) frame beefed up as/where needed to accomodate the Clyde in me.
