I have a question, I'm very new to this all and really want to get into cycling. However, I intend to ride a combination between trails and roads. So I figured a nice cyclobike would be up my ally. But along with being new to this all, I have a tight budget as well.

My question is will I be able to just change the wheelset to cyclocross ones on this bike and get what i'm looking for (road/trail) bike?

Or am I just wishful thinking these things?

That's not going to work.

In general road bikes can not accommodate cyclocross tires. On the other hand, cyclocross bikes can accommodate road tires. Your best bet is to find a cyclocross bike in your price range (check local used bike listings if there is nothing new available).
