Waterloo WI, Late March, 2005:

The phone rang late in March last year. It was the latest it had ever rung. By the time we understood the request just asked of us, the clock was already ticking. We had 4 weeks to make Lance a new time trial machine. The race was on…

In just 28 brutally short days, Trek’s Advanced Concept Group completely redesigned the TTx time trial frame that Lance Armstrong rode to a podium finish at the Dauphine Libere - the final tune up prior to attempting a seventh Tour De France challenge.

"We were first approached about the possibility of doing this redesign in late March, which meant we had to have a new machine ready for Lance in under 30 days." says Michael.

Michael Sagan is continuing his ninth year with the Trek Bicycle Corporation. In that time, Sagan has been the Industrial Design lead for Trek OCLV road bike projects for the last 7 Tours De France victories.

At Trek, Michael works with a multi-talented staff of designers, engineers and other bicycle experts to bring the most advanced cycling projects to life. Past projects include: Trek TTx, Trek Madone Series, Team Time Trial, Pilot, Top Fuel, Klein Quantum Pro, Adept, and Carbon Mantra.

Join us for an exclusive inside look at Trek’s 30 year history, OCLV Carbon Fiber material, Product Development methodologies, the latest addition to the Team Discovery’s arsenal, the TTx, and stories from the front lines of the Tour de France.

All are welcome to attend this free event! Please RSPV the Trek Bicycle Store of Cincinnati at 513-755-3773.
