Hi all, just bought an FR-316 frame from Flyxxi (very impresed with service and communication) and in the frame are 2 holes for Di2, one is in the downtube & one in the chainstay in addition to the internal cable routing. As i am not going down the Di2 route what would be the best method to securely/aesthetically cover/fill these 2 holes

I'd mold a silicon plug.

How big are the holes?

Problem solvers brake plugs might do it. Or look for something like them on auto shops or home depot. These are meant for V-Brakes' holes on seat stays when you go disc.

I'd just cover the holes with some tough tape. If that is too ugly, go to a sign shop (the kind that prints vinyl signs for sticking on commercial vehicles, does custom stripes for cars, etc.). They will have a million colors of very tough, but thin, vinyl, and I'd bet they'd give you a scrap. I've used this stuff for various purposes including covering stuff on bike frames, and it holds color and you will either be able to match the color OK or make something that looks like a factory decal/detail on your bike.

I think you mean silicone. Silicon is a silvery metal primarily used in solar collectors and computer chips.

3m makes carbon fiber tape. If you cut it clean and give it a little love with a heat gun it can look pretty nice.
