Congrats!! I was in a similar situation two years ago. I had taken a blood test for insurance purposes and found out I was a candidate for a heart attack. Not something you want to hear at age 35 with a 5yo kid.
I thought I was in pretty good shape. I played softball a couple nights a week so I thought I was good to go. I guess not.
Soon thereafter I took up cycling and a few months later I re-took my blood tests and my heart and health were in excellent shape. Not to mention I lost 17lbs. at that point.
So you could say cycling literally saved my life!
