Going to move to Houston in a month, will be living on Main St. Close to Kroger. Sorry still learning land marks.
Looking for a place to ride that is as safe as any road riding can be. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

rider or racer? Where are you moving from.
Most Houston riding inside loop 610 is laps at the loop in Memorial park during the week. There are a couple of fast paced "death rides"after DST starts but these are for experienced and sometimes fearless riders. It is flat and windy here.
Otherwise lots of weekend rides south and west of town but you will have to drive to the start. The charity ride scene is big until the end of April.

Rider. Normally put in 100 miles a week, pace around 18. Not looking for a hammer fest.

Can you give any locations south of town, I think those would be a little easier to start navigating to.

HBC Home Page I usually ride out in Fulshear. That's west of Houston, but it has alot of riders out there. Most are out of Cinco Ranch.
