Hey Folks,

Anyone have an opinion on this ... I'd love to get some feedback before buying.

Thanks in advance

Get the fluid

The magnet trainers are very noisy. They are also less fluid. No joke. The fluid trainers are smoother and will not flatten out your pedal stroke - or will take less toll on it. Magnet trainers tend to be more jerky in their resistance. JMO

the fluid

I just switched from a performance mag trainer to the fluid 2 and the feel is a lot nicer and the progressive resistance is a lot more like the real thing.

lots of probs w/ cyclops

I had heard bad things about cyclops, but found a fluid model on clearance for $100 so I gave it a try. After about 9 months I began to leak, and soon after, there was no resistance at all. Luckily, performance took it back. I've got the performance fluid, and honestly can't tell the difference from when the cyclops was new. Its a ton cheaper too, with plenty of resistance, smooth feel, and its pretty quiet.
Read the reviews here and on mtbr before you buy.
