Dairy state

Just wondering if many ppl on here drink/eat much dairy products? How does it geneally effect cyclists and their performance? Is it a cycling conducive source of protein?
Roughly 20% of the "white european" population has some degree of lactose intolerance, and so might have some problems drinking milk. Incidence is higher in African, Middle Eastern, and Asian populations. The short answer is that the effects are very individual, so there's no "general" advice. Beyond that, different forms of dairy, like milk, cheeses, yogurt, or whey protein will affect different people differently. Some don't tolerate milk well, but have no problem with yogurt or cheese, etc. That said, if your choice of dairy product is well tolerated, then a low-fat version is an excellent source of protein and calcium.
