I View attachment 277334 View attachment 277335 View attachment 277336 View attachment 277337 got stuck in a rut this morning and blew my tire & tube and damaged my rear ZIPP 404 FC wheel i will be taking it to the bike shop tomorrow, but I was wondering if this has ever happened to anyone on this forum and if it has a happy ending, or will I have to buy a new wheel?

The damage is on the braking surface and clincher. The clincher will move if I squeeze it with my finger. Can ZIPP repair that area?

pretty sure the only way to 'fix' that is a new rim. contact Zipp via your local dealer for the final word.

Thanks for the feedback. That is what I am thinking too. I will go to the lbs where I bought it and get their thoughts.

Update: I ended up buying a new 404 FC CC wheel. I will be sending the damaged 404 to Zipp for their crash replacement program. I will post another update in 2-3 weeks (how long I have been told it will take) regarding the repair to that wheel. My LBS told me that Zipp will put a new rim on it and lace it up to my old hub with new spokes.
