Philippe Gilbert has schooled the peleton on how to race old-style -- got to like those long echapées that make it to the end! Way to go for the crafty (and strong!) Belgian. 7+ minutes! at 10 km and 5:30 minutes at the finish! who fell asleep at the wheel today?

A+

And appropriately the post-race interview was conducted by Jacky Durand. It will be interesting to see how long he can hold on. I'm pretty sure he's ridden some decent TTs in the past so I don't think he'll lose it tomorrow.

Following on eurosport the last two days they have commented that the front of the chasing peloton looked like a rainbow, no one team able to take control. Hushovd wanted the early wins, but CA doesn't seem to be able (or really want?) to drive at the front and reel in a break. Good on Gilbert.
