The weather dictated that I would be checking out the woods for the first time this year. The canopy of the woods would help keep the chill down, and help me keep my asthma under control. So headed to the woods and had a blast playing on the ice packed trails. Almost 50% were ice packed and I tried cracking the ice four times, no harm, on foul. I'll be back playing in the woods real soon.

Nice!!! I've done icy trail rides, it's a blast. Great for your bike handling skills! Also have ridden ice masses along a local bay that were separated from the bay and stayed from high tide, if that makes sense? It was a rip. 4 degree beach ride with winds you'd expect... but way cool. The sound of deep ice cracking, zipping, along and under you is something burned into our collective unconscious or something... There was no way I was in danger from it yet it completely had me freaked out. It was loud, like a thick steel cable moving really fast though some kind of an eyelet.
