I'm starting week 2 of the CTS TCCP, and Thursday's workout will be OU Intervals, but I'm having some difficulty following the interval description. Say my Under (SS) HR target is 158 BPM, and my Over (CR) HR is 163 BPM.

The interval part of the ride calls for:
4 x 6 min. OU (2U, 10) (5 min. RBI)

I see that I should be doing four 6-minute interval sets with 5 minutes rest between, and the book also says finish each set with an Over. I should start each set with 2 minutes Under (158 BPM), then go to 10 seconds (?) of Over (163 BPM), and alternate this for 6 minutes, finishing with an Over. Sound right?

Here's the best I can figure:
0-120s Under
120-130s Over
130-250s Under
250-260s Over
260-380s Under
380-390s Over (that's 6.5 minutes)
5 min. rest
Repeat for three more sets.

I would probably do this on a moderate hill, and return to the bottom between each set.

Read that as 2 minutes Under and 1 minute Over
