Des Moines Area Shaded Trails

Currently I live in the Des Moines area. A lot of great trails here, but my skin is very sensitive to the sun. Any suggestions about where to ride in the daytime with the most shade on the trail? THANKS!

Older guy here. I protect myself from the sun. Have a Headsweats skullcap which covers my head under my helmet so I don't get strange sunburn on my head. I wear a white light long sleeve tee shirt to protect my arms. Sunscreen on my ears and back of my neck and on my nose and face. Spray on easier to apply except for face. Use Coppertone Clear so it dosen't show. Spray my legs and I'm good to go. Reapply as necessary.

The Gay Lea Wilson trail offers a fair amount of cover in some sections as does the Great Western Trail. The trail that runs from Principal Park east to the soccer complex has decent canopy as well but, again, only in sections. All trails are going to involve sun exposure so, as others have suggested, you’ll need to cover up properly if you’re sensitive.
