I bought a used bike with Di2 ultegra. The wire from to internal junction box near the bottom bracket to the junction box A by the stem is not long enough. It was tight with the handlebars in the lowest position possible. And too tight with the bars raised by the spacers. So I can buy a longer wires but that means taking off the crank and bottom bracket and threading the wire. Can I just buy a 250mm wire (about 10") and connect it to the end of the existing wire? The excess can then go into the down tube. The additional problem this solves is I'm not sure how long the existing wire is so not sure the correct length of the new one. Maybe this would be a temporary solution until winter when I would do it the right way. Ok, flame me for being lazy.
