Can somebody remind me how to see the difference between the 'Titanium' and 'Extralight' models from Merlin ? It has to do with the size of some tube - I think on the Extralight the top tube is larger, or something like that ?

Also, I think the cable guides are not located at the same place on both models ?

Thanks!

According to the 1999 Merlin catalog, the Merlin "Extralight" frame used double-butted tubing, making it up to four-fifths of a pound lighter than the Merlin "Road" (Titanium), depending on the frame size. Also, the Extralight front triangle is made of larger diameter, thinner wall, butted tubing, which keeps the Extralight both stronger and laterally stiffer than the Road, a desired characteristic for high speed descents and criterium-style racing.
