I came across this while searching for Thorn touring bikes.(thanks to HWoods hungrycyclist link)

Now I know Sheldon knows his stuff but this one seems a bit over the top.

You had better have a good dental plan if you rear end something. I picked up a UK cycling mag a few months ago and there was a full page Thorn ad. Looks like some nice steel frames for commuting/touring.

Yeah they look like nice frames, very functional. And how can you go wrong with a Rohloff.

sheldons an iconoclast..

or something. he did the same thing to a surly karate monkey frame a couple years ago. I guess he really like versatility. there's no knocking his general bike nerd creds though, he's a legend.

A legend, I agree. But man I couldn't even attempt to ride that thing.
