The roofer showed up at 6:30 this morning to wait for his crew. The all sat in the trucks until about 8:00 waiting for the rain to stop. Sky cleared and they got busy, complete tear off and new shingle complete and cleaned up when they left at about 3:15 (Crew of about 8).

New seamless gutters going on tomorrow.

Looks great. How many year shingles did you go with?

Limited lifetime, (50 year) considering I am 63, I should be good for a while!

Same as I got last year. One thing I can not worry about at age 48. Congrats.

My 2 grand daughters were here while they were doing the roof, (20 months and almost 5).The oldest wanted to set up a free lemonade stand for the crew. With my wife's help, she dispensed about 3 gallons of lemonade! Most of the crew spoke no English, but they all understood the huge smiles on the little girl's faces.

Nice! Should have used slate or terracotta. :D
Hmmmm I replied to this but it is not showing up. Slate would have been nice but I didn't have a spare 30 or 40k to get it done... (or more)

Seeing more and more metal roofs. Again pricy, but talk about never really worrying again.

I pick my battles, I wanted metal, she, did not. It was more important to her than to me... So shingles it is.

The house is looking really nice, your hard work and money spent is showing a nice return on investment.
