Building off its popular X'PLOR series, tire maker Donnelly has begun releasing several sizes and treads to accommodate the growing demand for the alternative gravel wheel size.
Among the first to travel gravel stateside are the X'PLOR Strada USH, a 650bx42 that's available in a 60tpi wire and folding, as well as tubeless ready. The Strada USH is both an adventure and all-commuter tread, that's a combination of the Strada LGG road tire and X'PLOR series commuter. The Strada USH combines a fast rolling center track and scaled up herringbone tread for traction in turns. It retails for $67 and is the equivalent of a 700x23 in diameter. Also new is the Strada USH 650bx50 that's designed for cushion for comfort.
Donnelly has also released the X'PLOR MSO 650bx36 that is tubeless ready. Soon to follow will be the X'PLOR MSO 650bx50 tubeless ready, a tire that's equivalent to a 700x32 in diameter. Both these models retail for $67.
