I'm considering the purchase of a fluid trainer, and have found many reviews of the Performance branded, Elite-made trainers, but little on the Elite Volare Fluid.

Any experience with the Elite Fluid trainers? How do they compare with Cyclops? How durable is the Elastogel insert? Do the Performance trainers have the Elastogel insert as well?

Do not know about the fluid , but recentley bought a Elite Digital Mag trainer with Elastogel and I 'am quite impressed much quieter with the elastogel and I noticed that the rear does not slip as much as other trainers when you get out of saddle .
The digital computer is excellent check it out.

You've got me interested! Tell me about the digital computer. What does it do?
How long have you had the trainer, and any sign of wear on the Elastogel roller? Can the Elastogel be replaced once it is worn?

I was told Elastogel can be replaced . I have been using it for month and half for 2 hours a day and no signs of wear ,and super quiet.

The computer gives you constant watts speed ride timeand evelation grade
it also gives the max readings of each and averages of all except evelation grade which gives a reading in vertical climb per ride in KMH or MPH depends how you set it up ,the resistance is controlled by a 5 position knobon the computer mount . The unit clips on and off in seconds and is adjustable for regular and oversize bars .
Unit pre built out of box all you have to do is input your weight KMH or MPH . It was about $125 cheaper then comparable Tacx and much more silent . By far the best unit I have used .
