The bars were tested in a Dutch cycling rag being subjected to 50,000 cycles of 450 Newton downward force on the drops and another 50,000 cycles of 200 Newton downward on one side and upward the other side to simulate sprinting. It didn't survive so they ran the test again with a new set of bars and they did survive the test. The bars are not 100% CF but combined with aluminum. The weight is a lot higher than advertised as well, 338 grams for a bar is not very light. Curiously enough, all bars made with a combo of CF and aluminum failed the test. HTH.
