I consider buying the clinchers Continental Grand Prix Supersonic.
This tire has an extremely low weight (140 g for 20 mm version!!).

But, it is mentioned on the site that the puncture resistance and lifetime is not as good as other models.

Has anyone used these tires? How about them?

My wife tried them out.

They are very thin and brittle, strictly and event/race only tire.

I wouldn't use them for daily use. But for racing with wheel support, they are great.

What he said. I think mine are 23mm @ 160gm, very light, thin, but fairly sticky outer casing. Used mine for a couple rides and a climbing century, and put them back on the shelf, so I don't really know how long they will last. (forever at the current usage... )

If you don't like buying a new rear tire every 500 miles, just use them on the front. Use a GP3000 in back.

I just bought a set to put on my race wheels and it's amazing how light they are. I would have to agree with the others that these tires should only be used for racing or special rides where you want a little less rotational weight. I can't wait to try them out.

Use them in time trials

Actually, have just been using the front in TT's, flatted the rear last year right before the turn-around. Not happy. There was some gravel on the road and it was raining, but will stick with front use only.

Really low rolling resistance, lightweight. If you mean for everyday riding I wouldn't recommend it, unless flat repair is time well spent for you. But they do corner remarkably well, stick like glue.

Agree with the grumpy one...

I keep a supersonic on the front at 120-125 lbs and a GP3000 on the back at 110-120 lbs, every once in a while I'll get a tear in the tread of a supersonic that will bug me until I replace the tire, other than that, my fronts get little to no wear so their a great choice.
