[Fignon's Barber]

Looking at Uvex Helmets, namely the new Race 5 or the Race 1. Anyone have opinions/experience with them? How is the fit, round or oval,etc? thanks.

I haven't tried either of those helmets, but I do have a Uvex Boss Race that I really like. It's light, well-ventilated, and comfortable. Adjustments are easy and I especially like the button/ratchet strap. I've been told different Uvex helmets have a different shape, so I can't help with that.

Yeah, there's a bike shop near me that carries them, but I've never seen them anywhere else (other than online).

I have a Uvex FP1.

I have trouble finding helmets that feel right and this one is perfect. I also have pretty good luck with Bell helmets so I guess the best I can do to describe the fit is say it's similar to Bell.
I really like the retention system too......I just googled the models you mentioned and they have the same system as mine....it's just that the shell is different.
Magura USA is the US distributor for Uvex. Perhaps they can provide some information. I got mine in Germany.

LOL, my LBS has them as well. In fact, I wear a UVEX helmet and glasses.
