I think they used to do this on the back end, I remember dialing a dial phone and then the phone company would tone dial the number for you when you were done automatically. $240 is ridiculous, and it isn't even Bakelite!

I gotta say that my guitar-playing fingers simply don't work too well with the current crop of quote-unquote mobile devices. The long fingernails on the right hand and the callouses on the left hand are just not touch-pad friendly.

Man, back when I was driving OTR, I used to have this little pocket-sized device that would create phone tones to use on dial-only phones (I used to make long-distance calls through Sprint long-distance service, and it required touch-tones). I even ran across it a few days ago as I was cleaning out old electronic devices in my house. Maybe it would be useful with one of these phones?

I still have a rotary phone in the house. It was my grandmother's phone and has her number in the dial. Still works. Crazy!!!!! I have it in my nostalgia room which includes a pistol from WW2 from a dead german soldier, a bee smoker from my grandfather, a pocket watch from my great grandfather, an art piece made from my mom's stuff, a metal milk cup from my grandfather's dairy, and vintage albums, framed on the wall.

yeah since I retired, my fingerprints are growing back!, hours everyday working with polishing machine and guiding a file with my fingertips and abrasives mad a real mess of my hands. I I can't say they are better, but they are different now.
