Back in October we showed you a new line-up of cool weather riding gear from Pactimo. Besides solid form and function, the Colorado-based apparel maker went all in on safety, strategically implementing reflective accents (called RFLX) to help increase low-light visibility. Dashes of hard-to-miss neon yellow were combined with accents of pixel fabric, an innovative material that has reflective elements impregnated directly into the fabric.

Now Pactimo is at it again, this time with its just released spring 2015 collection that features those same visibility-increasing treatments, along with lowered weight and some eye-catching colorways. The safety-enhancing treatment has been added to a redesigned top-of-the-line Summit jersey and bib short. The RFLX material utilizes the same special pixel fabric membrane. During the day it looks like any other fabric, but when illuminated by direct light, such as a car's headlights, the RFLX brightens up, making its wearer easier to see. The Summit jerseys and bibs feature this reflectivity in both arm and leg bands, and rear gripper panels.

Better visibility and lighter weight are the defining characteristics of this new line.

"RFLX and the strategically placed reflective trim we include on all of our jerseys significantly increases rider visibility at night," explained Pactimo retail brand manager Josh Cook. "But we wanted to carry this theme forward in the garment's overall design aesthetic as well. Each new jersey features one colorway with intentionally placed hits of hi-visibility yellow, making the rider stand out and in a range of variable light conditions, such as mountain haze or coastal fog."

We just took delivery of several new test kits and will be putting them through their paces in the months to come, and will report back soon after.
