Cleat adjustment

You just don't want the heels of your shoes banging into your cranks or chainstays. Take a spin and pack a screwdriver with you and adjust your cleats so your feet are straight. How close your feet are to your cranks probably depends on how wide your feet are. Ride and adjust. When you go to swap out your cleats, make a mark on the bottom of your shoes with a felt tipped pen so you know where to set them. Also make sure the balls of your feet are centered over your pedal spindles.
