Hello RBR riders,

I have a 2004 Fuji Team Issue with FSA Gossamer Cranks. I have a problem with loud rattling noise in the crank during hard efforts in sprints and up hills. The shop where I purchased the bike check for cracks and leaks and untorqued and retorqed the bicycling and added an amazing amount of grease but the sound keeps coming back 1-2 rides later. Each ride after the fix it progressively gets louder till it reaches its original noise level again. Does anybody have any experience with this sort of problem or know about it. It sounds like I am stuck between a gear in the front derailleur kind of but its not that.

The bike is 64cm and I am 6'7" and 195lbs. I am also a former track and field all-american so the bike shop believes I am just too strong to keep the crankshaft from getting loose all the time. I don't know how true that is.

Bad Sound

I will try getting my team's sponsored bike shop to take a look at the problem and putting loctite on the crankshaft. I don't know the exact tools I would need to do it myself but I know that the sound is very annoying and embarrasing to have on a bike as expensive as mine.
