For a self loathing egotist, he still has a pretty entertaining show most of the time.

Maybe he's just not that good?

Howard Stern
I hadn't listened to Stern in close to 10 years. I used to listen all of the time. Private Parts was one of the funniest books I've ever read. I got bored with him.

I heard his new show the other day. It's the same old Stern only more raw.

I used to listen to the guy he stole his act from (he'll never admit it though) I got bored with him years ago, so why would I listen to an imitation, let alone pay for the privilege?:D

Like Limbaugh, he's a one-trick pony.

The first time I heard both of them, I thought "Wow, this is great." When Limbaugh came on the air here, I even did a column urging people to listen even if they disagreed (as any sensible person must), because he was fresh and funny.
Two weeks later, I did another column telling them I was wrong, he'd run out of stuff. Same thing with Stern, IMO: He's only funny for so long.
Now, Don and Mike--THOSE guys are funny.

Naw, I just didn't like him enough to have to pay for his show. I only listened to it because it was on the radio when I woke up in the morning and it was mildly entertaining.

Not worth money, IMO.

Maybe fans didn't follow him to Sirius because XM is better.

Fact is, ALL sat radio is better.

Clear channel = crap.
Regular radio = crap.

Sat radio--either brand = fresh and entertaining, no matter what your tastes.
