Why was yesterday named the Queen stage instead of the Zoncalon stage getting that distinction? Just wondering...

Because it had 5 catorgised climbs, 6320 m of climbing and the Cima Coppi.

The Zoncalon stage had 'only' 3 catorgised climbs.

it also had the hardest/highest climb of the whole giro 2600m+ hardest in the sense of a hard moderately steep grind after 2.5+ weeks of HARD racing including the Zoncolan before this stage
