Hey Fellow Tall Cyclists,
I just wanted to give a shout-out to Colnago and other brands that are making nice big bikes. It is hard to be 6'5 and find a high-end ride, especially if you're looking at stock bikes. Many companies are too cheap (fiscally conservative?) to make a mold for an extreme size, or are just scared of making a carbon bike for a big rider.
I've attached two shots here, one of me on my old Seven Alaris, and also of a recent build at Wrench Science of a 65cm Colnago Master X-light.
Are you a tall rider too? Post your shots here! I want to see some massive headtubes!
Tell me who else makes good tall bikes!

Very nice. Companies with a full run on sizes will suite each end of the spectrum much better than those who have the normal 5 or 6 sizes.

I'm of average height, but I've also heard rave review about Look's larger sizes as well as Time.

The Specialized Tarmac and Roubaix, and the Trek Madone Performance fit are the stock carbon frames with the tallest head tubes, AFAIK. Very tall riders may be limited by Trek's seat mast system, but Speccy still uses a standard 27.2 post.

I've got very long legs (38 7/8" inseam) and short torso for my height. I don't like to run more than about 10cm of drop, so my steerer tubes have to be at least 30cm (with inverted stem). I had Curtlo build a custom compact steel frame for me in '03, with a 24cm HT and 59cm TT, 42cm chainstays, and 73 deg HA for stability. We also used a stiff all-carbon Alpha Q Z (Zinn) Pro fork. It's a great bike, but just slightly lacking in front-end stiffness at very high speeds. My SL Pro with 1.5" tapered steerer is a rock, but a bit twitchy with the 74deg HA.

I just found a used Parlee Z3 Custom with their XL (stiffest) tubeset, that was built with nearly identical geometry to my Curtlo. I'm hoping that it will combine the good qualities of both of my other frames, without the bad. I should know next weekend.

I was going to mention the Roubaix too. Because of the long headtube, the 58cm is more like 60cm-61cm in other lines, and the 61cm Roubaix is very large indeed.

XL Ridleys also seem built for big folk...

Specialized are also going to be offering a 64cm Roubaix Expert, slated to be available in early April.

I think it depends alot of the person.. I came of of a 62cm Scott and after an hour of riding I was in alot of pain... Lower back pain, neck pain etc.. I think alot of it has to do with flexability... I have never been very limber despite alot of stretching exercises... So for me Custom Geometry is about the only way I can get comfy on a bike... George Hincapie is 6'3" and rides a 57cm BMC bike...http://www.bikeradar.com/news/article/pro-bike-george-hincapies-bmc-slx01-racemaster-24857 That would never work for me in a million years...

A stock 61 cm Bianchi Infinito has a 225 mm head tube. Could work for a tall rider.

I'm not more than 184 cm (6' 1/3") myself, but rather short torsoed, long legged and -armed. I ride a 57cm Infinito that shows quite a bit of seat post, but the handlebars are comparably low.

I'm two meters tall; this was my anniversary gift from my wife a few years ago. She's a 64 cm frame with a 62 cm top tube. I can't race her any more, but she gets ridden every weekend.

That's one well proportionated tall bike.

The first two are my actual rides, the other ones are gone.
I'm 6ft 4in and still pretty flexible, anything with a 58-59cm top tube and a 19-20cm head tube fits me.
