I just picked up an older Griffen and right now they have 700 x 23cc tires. Any chance that rear triangle will accommodate 25's.? Guess I could just change the tires to see....

With no pictures, no model, no year, zero information, you expect people to tell you what tires you can fit?

Ya think? Or just measure how much space you have.
What time shall I come over to help? Are you going to serve lunch?
Sorry, not enough info.
Keep in mind you should have at least 3mm clearance between the tire and stays. If your existing 23mm tires have less than double that, chances are 25mm tires will be too tight a squeeze and will rub when the frame flexes on hill climbs.

A very famous guy named Yogi Berra once stated that "You can observe a lot by watching." Just look at how much clearance you have with your current 23s and realize that 25s are nominally 1 mm wider on each side and 2 mm taller than your 23s. Do you have enough clearance for that? Simple to figure out. The only caveat is that some 23s are actually narrower than 23 mm and some 25s are actually wider than 25mm. You can measure these things.

Thank you for the inspiration! I just tried Vittoria pro 25's and they fit!!!! Plenty of clearance. I should have just done that before I posted, duh.

Not necessarily "duh". You either have to take a chance with buying a tire you may not be able to use or find someone you know willing to test one of theirs.
