Good afternoon.

I purchased two used road bikes at the LBS swap several weeks ago and my teenage son and I love it and have done a much of riding the last couple of weeks, maybe 200+ miles.

He has asked me about group riding and drafting so he can go faster. He has tried to ride my tire but says my speed is too erratic, he actually bumped my rear wheel the other night.

So how do we go about learning how to ride within in a group without injury ourselves or others?

Thanks.

I would suggest you get in touch with someone at the LBS that sponsored the swap meet. They probably either support group rides of varying skill levels, I know mine does, or can put you in touch with a local bike club in your area that will have a calendar of club rides. Follow up on a ride at a beginning level and go from there.
