Gday all, looking for a set of new bars for the roadie, currently running easton ea50 bars oversize. Looking for some nice wide 44cm-48cm (do they make them that big) short reach short drop bars, Im 5'8" 230ish pounds sprinter, running campag and looking for a horizontal plane into the hoods. If they are light and cool looking i would be happy but i really want to be comfortable. Thanks for the pearls of wisdom.

Hey, Dave!

Everyone in the pro peloton seems to be on Deda Newton Shallow Drop Bars, I heard. Another option is the Easton EC90 in "Pro" bend.

For short reach and shallow drop with some anatomic bends, try the Ritchey Pro Biomax bars. I think they go up to 44cm in the 130 drop. Also, check out Salsa's Poco bars. They have other short and shallow options, mostly for cyclocross. salsacycles.com

Straight plane to the hoods I normally see on FSA aluminum bars, but they usually have very low drops.

Hope this helps. :)
