If by "bearing cap" your talking about the top cap then yes, its fine.

But if you mean the upper bearing race then the answer is a big NO

The FSA headset and King headsets are significantly different in their design. The FSA has a floating bearing (TH style) which requires a compression upper race to adjust the bearing load. The King uses pressed in bearings into their cups and therefore does not use a compression ring. You will not be able to properly adjust the FSA headset with the King upper race.

No it can not

I meant Can I put one of these
in place of the big conical cap on my 2008 Specialized Tarmac Comp FSA headset?
Read my prior post, you cannot use the King upper race with a FSA, Cane Creek, Campagnolo, or any other headset other than a Chris King headset.

what

No need to get touchy... That part was not referred to as a bearing race. It is referred to as a bearing cap. A bearing race is the part that bearings are in, not the caps.
Not sure how you can decipher me being touchy from a forum post...maybe there is no need for you to be so sensitive:rolleyes:
