Hi guys, i am getting one of those China OEM road frames that does not comes with any headset. This is my first time buying a headset as my past bikes all came with headset or integrated headset.

Anyone can recommend me a headset for road purpose? my budget is around 50-70..

There are lots of nice headsets in that price range, so that shouldn't be your main concern.

The issue to deal with is whether the frame and fork were properly prepped (milled and reamed) for headset installation. Also if it's a one inch fork, remember that there are 2 standards 26.4/30.2 and 27.0/30.0.

The bigger question is do you know what model of headset you need. Is it conventional or one of the many types of integrated headsets. Many Asian made frames use the IS standard integrated headset.
