I am looking for some help in trying to determine if there is such a heart rate monitor that will work without a chest strap, maybe something that you can attach to your ear lobe only etc. I am looking for this specifically because I am trying to find something to make it easier to take my waking heart rate. I do not like wearing the chest strap of my Polar S725 to sleep with, but have a hard time remembering to check my heart rate when I wake up. So I figure if I had some electronic device that I could leave by the clock radio that I could just slap on easily (easily compared to a chest strap and monitor), it would help me get the readings.

Does anybody have any thoughts on this matter?

Thank you.

I have always just checked it manually for waking pulse. Just check it for 15 seconds.
That way all you need is a watch by the bed.

none that work worth a sh*t, but there are some models out there if you want that kind of thing.
