I've just lookd at the reviews on heart rate monitors and most of the reviews are old... I had one ( a cheap) model and it failed.... so I'm thinking of getting a "GOOD" one...

Any opinions:

What mean GOOD for you ? If you want monitor as assistance for serious traning then go to top models from Polar , Timex or Ciclosport , if you don't need monitor / PC combo than go to cheaper solutions . I have Sigma Sport PC 15 and it is enough for me .

Get a Polar, they are the best. Check out their website and the different models. The have a very basic one all the way up to a unit that will workout for you while you kickback with a cocktail.
