My 10 year old "just had to have" a pair of these skate/shoes. Guess they are quite the thing nowadays. I agreed to pay 1/2 if he paid the other 1/2 out of his allowance since they can also be used as regular shoes. Truth be told...they are actually pretty cool. You just kind of glide around on your heels with these. They come with a disclaimer on the bottom saying that by removing this sticker you forfeit your rights to sue the manufacturer if your kid gets hurt using them!

Santa gave my 6 year old daughter a pair for Christmas since it's the coolest thing nowadays among her friends. My daughter's been practicing in the garage, with me following her around so she doesn't fall too hard on her butt. I agree, these things are pretty cool.

i saw some at school last year......but this is very sad because the school was a senior high. im sure its good for a younger kid, but if your kid still wears them in the tenth grade, you'd best teach him to defend himself.
