I am looking for a saddle cover. Nothing with a pad. Just a simple cover. My inner thighs wear through the leather on the sides of any saddle I buy. Thought I would try a cover to make them last longer and keep from wearing out the insides of my bike shorts. I can't seem to find anything. Can someone point me to something online? Thanks.

I'm not sure that's really the fix you want. Most covers are LESS slick than the leather (or synthetic) saddle, and if you are really having that much friction, look for something narrower.

In all my years of riding, I've never met someone who truly required a saddle cover, and any extra moving "thing" in that area strikes me as bad news.

I think the OP was talking about the leather cover wearing through on the saddle, not XS friction. I have found that I can get saddles to last for many 10s of thousands of miles with a good saddle cover, but they wear through the leather/synthetic cover much faster without the cover. Sad to say, no one really makes/sells them any more (except on e-Bay!) You don't require them, but they make a saddle last many years longer. IME, they don't move on the saddle.

What we're talking about here is a low cost and easily replaced cover, typically made of lycra or lined lycra, which goes over the existing saddle to protect the leather cover.

Right. That's what my fizik Alliente came with: gray stretchy thing, like a form-fit shower cap.
