I hope all you moreons in moreonville are doing OK. It's rough out there.

I am working on a small-budget, home construction project, and could use your input. I'll keep this short.

If the following houses were the only ones you could pick to live in for the rest of your life, based on initial impression alone, which would you choose? #1, 2, 3, or 4?

The last one, especially if it has an ocean view.

The first one looks like a house I had in Bloomington, IN. It was nice, but it felt like a place where I would live at age 70. The second one looks like a nursing home. The third looks like an oversized house built with cheap, cheasy construction materials and maybe aluminum siding. The last one has some character and uniqueness, although it could probably get on my nerves eventually.

Interesting. The second one (I like it on some levels) looked like a dental clinic to me in this photo. So we have a similar reaction to it.

The last one without question. I love modern architecture.

I like that the first one has some trees and shrubbery, but wow, those middle two are horrendous. I don't care for big open lawns of grass.

I'm a simpleton so I pick #4 because what could be more simple than a box to keep your stuff in.

As a car lover, the first one with the three-car garage wins. The last one looks like something a retired porn star would own.

(No offense to any retired porn stars who frequent the Lounge)

I'm more into function rather than form so I'd have to know what's on the inside before I decided on which one to buy.

So where the hell have you been?

The last one - love the lines and non-suburb look.

Howdy OEH. Good to hear from you.

Based on what I can see in the pictures, I'd want house #1. But I agree with azpeterb that what's on the inside would be at least as important as what I can see in the pictures.

#4 I like best. But #3 isn't bad either.

Almost certainly better sight lines in #4. Makes all the difference. Enjoy.

the first 3 have too much lawn.
I'd go with 4 - but would need to see the inside to check out the layout, the storage space for tools and bikes, and find the biggest wall for the ukulele collection.
