thinking of adding a horn to my gravel/city/night/winter bike. but I would prefer loud and minimalist

I alrady have my big Magichine battery on there for the headlight, but it is 7.4 volts 2S lipo. Most horns run on 6V or 12V. Might get something light like a scooter horn or car horn that is light weight. but I guess I probably need to do power regulator for that?

Is it 7.5 volts fully charged? That will drop quickly once it's taken off the charger. My guess is that a 6V horn would be fine.

My guess is also that the 6v horn would be fine in the 7.4 battery. Especially if it is meant to work on a vehicle with a 6VDC system. But if you are worried you could put two diodes in series with it. Typical diode voltage drop is about 0.6v give or take. So that would get you very close to 6v. Since I'd don't know the current consumption of the horn I can't recommend any particular diode.
