To go along with the most under-rated sport and all the other threads.

My pick would have to be the NBA.

Golf. Like watching paint dry, but without all the excitement.

I can appreciate aspects of most sports. The most boring to watch on TV, by far, has to be baseball. I love it if I'm there, but its tough to handle on TV unless you are flipping channels a lot.

The NBA is pretty close though. NCAA basketball is a much better representation of the sport, but even that is getting a little out of hand.

I remember reading it in RBR years ago:
"If you can compete with a cigar in your mouth, it isn't a sport!"

I like to pick on the Summer Olympics...
I remember when synchronized swimming became an olympic sport. Yes, it is incredibly difficult, but an olympic sport??? (well, no cigars at least)
After that, almost any sport could get in, as if the barriers were broken for all that followed.

Granted, it is a product of genius marketing.

I remember watching a Formula grand prix on TV last year, and switching to a NASCAR race during commercial... I immediately though, "they must be under a yellow flag" before realizing they were actually under green. It was just so damned boring!

For me to consider it sport you need to be in decent physical condition which automatically excludes golf and NASCAR which have been deemed games in my book.

I dunno that I would call most Olympic sports "overrated". Maybe many of them are lame as hell, but I don't think most are very highly "rated" to begin with (i.e., they don't typically have huge mass fan followings and TV airtime like football, basketball, etc.). Hard to call something like sychronized swimming "overrated" when hardly anyone follows it regularly or knows anything about it, ya know?

I read this as, "the Special Olympics."

Does that mean I'm going to hell? Again?
You'll have off the next 14 or 15 years...
That when Slaggy will be drowning in hormones while ignoring you in public as if you are an embarrassing blight on the Earth's surface, etc.

Call it, "grandparent's revenge"! Even if you were a good kid for your parents, you'll still get "the treatment".
