I stack my mine in the corner according to usage. Not pretty, but it works. However someday I'd like to get a vertical storage system.

So...how do you store your bikes?

Indoors at one end of the living room; warm and dry, and right next to my two skydiving rigs and commercial sewing machine.

Roadie - in the garage (man cave) propped up against the sofa's back-side
Mountie - also in the cave, albeit leaning on the radial arm saw
Keeps them safe and dry.

I was really taking a picture of the bag. But you can see the bike is on a rack that leans on the wall. Outside the frame, it's got little feet. Fits two bikes, and it's relatively stable.

There are several more in my house. A couple of them are in another corner, in a stand that stabilizes one wheel, and several are in the basement, with their rear wheels in the slots in a futon frame.

In the garage hanging from the front wheels year 'round. So far, in 48 years of cycling, I haven't noticed the cold hurting them any.

you ever actually ask them how they feel about it?

Summer, mine all live in the garage, hanging, in the winter, two or 3 live inside, one on the trainer and the others get their own bedroom for privacy.....

Poorly...

To further elucidate; my MTB hangs from a pulley system in the garage, unused. My cyclocross bike is on a two-bike rack in the garage, just below the MTB.
My two road bikes are scattered in the living room, along w/ my rollers and my fluid trainer, most of my tools, 8-12 tubes, bike computers, fenders, bike bags, messenger bags, etc...
Neatness is not my strong point.

I've been thinking about purchasing that stand. How do you like it? I'm kind of torn between that and a floor stand (shaped like an L).

Road and MTB on hooks in the basement, my SS MTB beater and my wife's bike in the garage during the summer, and in the basement during the winter.

I bought a similar if not the same rack from Excel Sports (brand name is Gear-Up) probably 8 years ago, but they apparently no longer sell it (but found it here through a Google search: http://www.bikerackshops.com/SS100BUA.html). Holds two bikes and works great. If I remember I paid something like $100 for it back then.

Fortunately when we moved in '05 it just fit in the new garage, so that is where my lone remaining bike resides full-time.
