I am getting ready to put together a set of custom wheels but am really confused on spokes. The wheels are going to be for training and weight isn't the most important thing but I want the wheels to be fairly light. I will be using Nimble Spider rims with White Industries hubs but don't know what spokes to use. I weight 150lbs and want 24 spokes 2 cross front and 28 3 cross rear. Also I really don't want bladed spokes and want them to be black.

Well if you want light and not bladed, then 14/15 gauge double butted are the most commonly recommended. To calculate spoke length you need a spoke length calculator which will take the hubs, rims, crosses, and # of spokes and give you a length.
