Just finished a kitchen remodel. I hit the designer up for a piece of 1" thick granite for under my down firing Polk sub. It was free. All I can say is Wow!

What is under the sub now? The enclosure for the two downfiring subs I have now is open under them and there are 4 2" legs that have a nice piece if cherry wood base under the subs. Wouldn't granite be a little 'harsh' for under subs?

The sub was on thick carpet and pad which covers the whole room. It's not harsh. Tight and clean is more like it. The room is warm sounding to begin with, so.......
