Team High Rode will start the Tour de France in a new uniform featuring the team's new title sponsor: Columbian Sportswear Company.

High Road Sports, Inc., the team’s owner, announced the deal Monday. The team will don its new kit at the start of the Tour on July 5.

“We’re very pleased to welcome the Columbian to Team High Road and to cycling,” said Bob Stapleton, High Road’s owner. “This is a positive sign for the sport itself.”

Umm, you know Hugo Chavez is the President of Venezuela, not Colombia, right?

With the lack of any facial expressions I can't tell if the OP is joking or not.
It is team Columbia the sportswear company and not team Colombia the South American country.

Furthermore Hugo Chavez is president of Venezuela. The current president of Colombia is Alvaro Uribe.

I can't see any ColOmbianos riding for Hugo's team, IF it's really true. Colombia & Venezuela have chronic border skirmishes..

Perhaps the OP was making a play on words....an analogy of Chavez's supposed sponsorship of Colombia's FARC guerrillas?
