Hi, I'm Vaughn and I have a Lens Buying Addiction.

Three weeks ago I ordered my DSLR and said I'd wait a while before getting anything else for it. That lasted all of a week. Well I just received my mint 50mm F2 Prime (25 bucks! Like new) and I've got a new eBay 50-200 zoom on the way to me. I couldn't help it. I wanted a little more range with the zoom and I wanted something faster for playing with DOF. What's next besides a bigger camera bag?

Go wide young man, ultra wide.
That will probably be my next lens. I've never had anything less than a 50 on my 35mm's. The 18 (27 digital) end of the 18-55 is a revelation. I'm really enjoying it. I'm on a tight budget but I'm going to keep looking for a cheap wide prime.

+23587 on the ultra wide. Something like a 12-24.

I've picked up a 100mm macro and an old 400mm MF within the past few weeks. Listening to me might not be the best idea.

No way for tilt-shift with my budget. I'm hoping ultra wide and maybe a macro will be next. I don't want to push the limits of the family budget director. The advantage to the pentax is that there are tons of cheap manual lenses around.

So far I've got 415 bucks into the camera, 3 lenses and 8 gig card. I love finding bargains.

Tilt-shift would be fun, but pretty much out of any hobbyist's budget. An old MF PC maybe, but not a newer one.
Yup

Money no object.....lenses I would use:

- 200-400 f/4
- 24 T/S
- 24-70 f/2.8
- 17-35 f/2.8

But since money is an object....lenses I will buy:

+1

I've justified some insane purchases, but can't justify that one.

What camera did you get?

The 35-70/2.8 that Roe sent me is amazing.

You have a tilt-shift or a 1700mm f/4?

It's all about the fisheye..

Actually, it's become all about the tele for me.
That's a sweet shot.

Actually, I was just about to say that fisheyes are fun, their applications are so limited.

I wanted a fisheye something FIERCE when I was in hs/first couple semesters of college. At the time I was racing BMX and riding street/skateparks and taking a lot of photos of it... I'll have to see if I can find any of my old slides from my skatepark daze.
