I took advantage of the tax free weekend and purchased a Gunnar Crosshair. I hope to race in the local cross series, use it as a commuter and for epic winter rides.

Cross is completely new to me so I need a little advise finishing off the build.
I am a fan of Easton wheels and have a pair of 38mm EC90 Sl tubulars I can free up.
Anybody keep there carbon wheels on year round or is that not cool?
What tire width should I be running?
Any recommendations on MTB pedals?

As far as pedals go you cant go wrong with egg beaters or xtr`s. I have run both over the years, but lately I have been liking the xtr`s.

I like Time ATACs and 35mm tires. But I do most of my racing on mountain bikes.

Tires are a hugely local consideration.

I went with some Time Atac pedals, Mavic shoes and waiting on a set of EA70x.
I just went on my first ever off road training ride and absolutely loved it. Felt I needed to share
