I dont really know what 'Section' this belongs to, but imagine if this happened in the Tour (or Worlds)........ The UCI gave it to the Belgian (Roel Paulissen) but Sauser (Swiss) has lodged an official complaint over the result.
This was the finish at the World MTB Marathon Championships.

The question is, what would you do?

If I were whom?

Based on that video, it doesn't look like Sauser changes his line. He's appealing the decision, and he might have a case. It's always difficult to get officials to reverse a call, though.

You could just as easily say that Paulissen was at fault.

sauser wasnt sprinting dangerously, paulissen was coming up the barriers where he was boxed in. His own fault, unless before the clip started sauser intentionally blocked him.
I agree, Paulissen tried to come thru a gap that wasn't there. I'm no expert on the rules, but I thought as long as you held your line you were OK. Is there any rule that says the Swiss rider needs to give him room to come thru?
