to mocha/some form of coffee.

Well, not really. It's not like I need it but I keep wanting it though.

Is this a bad thing? Well, I don't think so. Right? Right??

Off to make some iced mocha now.

Yeah, I'm addicted to coffee now, too. Started fall quarter when I began studying more at the local coffee shops because I couldn't focus as well at home. One of the local shops has free refills and is easily within walking distance. Not good.

I usually have a large mug in the morning, maybe one in the afternoon depending on how I feel, but I usually stick to tea after noon so I don't have trouble sleeping at night.

Hmm, I'll try not having any tomorrow.

I might have some tea instead (peach flavored).

Really, I'll try and let you know.

//Damn coffee bean card I suppose. That got me started with topping it up, getting free credits etc...

Tea should not be flavored with anything, especially fruit. Exceptions are of course Earl Grey (essence of Bergamot) and jasmine. Drink your coffee and tea like a man.:p

I think I'm not. Although, I feel like making some mocha right about now.

I'm gonna go without any today.

But, I did feel a little lethargic/sleepy a few hours ago... Couldn't be coz I didn't drink anything but water this morning right?

I don't normally drink mocha/coffee in the morning anyway (had 2 cups yesterday though and the day before).

I love fruit tea. Lemon, apple/cinnamon, peach...

Coffee is yummy but bad for you. I myself am a sucker for a nice iced latte, but I mostly keep myself away from them, because it does all manner of bad things, including weight gain. :(

Let's put it this way... back in '98, I was working at NASA Ames Research Center (as an intern) and was heavily, pathetically coffee-addicted. I quit the coffee, and did absolutely nothing else different diet- or fitness-wise, and ended up losing about ten pounds over an eight-week period. Just from kicking the coffee.

'parently it has something to do with cortisol? I forget. But yeah, I'm a tea-drinker now. Is also nicer from the 'no-jitters' perspective.

I highly recommend Numi Chinese Breakfast, and Numi Jasmine Green. Simply stellar teas.

Some Tazo teas are also good (like Awake, if you remember to brew it for only 2 minutes), but not quite as good.

It's about 92 calories a cup when I do drink it or about 100+ for a large iced blended cappuccino.

At 130lbs, weight ain't an issue

Okay then. But how about jitters, acid reflux, high blood pressure, heartburn, ulcers, and general GI tract whackness?:

Lots of exercise, a healthy diet, sticking to iced mocha instead of pure coffee and well, yeah.

:D

Had my first coffee when I was 31.

Life's been a nonstop alcohol and coffee cocktail ever since, and I wouldn't want it any other way.

Always black, BTW. Cream and sugar are for goths who hang out at Perkins after Rocky Horror lets out.

I beg to differ. Not with the nonstop alcohol and coffee cocktail, of course, but no sugar? I mean, as Def Leppard so wisely related,

Hey!
C'mon, take a bottle, shake it up
Break the bubble, break it up

Pour some sugar on me
Ooh, in the name of love
Pour some sugar on me
C'mon fire me up
Pour your sugar on me
Oh, I can't get enough

I'm hot, sticky sweet
From my head to my feet yeah
